Sari Foods recently sent me samples of their Organic Spirulina, Acerola Powder (the most pure, concentrated and natural form of Vitamin C) and Non-Fortified Nutritional Yeast Flakes.
They were also kind enough to include a recipe ebook so I’d actually know what to do with them 😉
I’ve tried spirulina and nutritional yeast in the past, but had never even heard of acerola powder.
Apparently, I’ve been missing out! This stuff tastes like cherries (probably my favorite flavor to add to a smoothie) and is an organic Vitamin C supplement.
Spirulina is the most nutrient dense food known to humankind, contains more protein content than any other food source and is the most planet-friendly source of protein!
Sari Foods says, “If Nature were to make a multi-vitamin, this would be it.”
The Organic Spirulina recipe book includes everything from hummus to popcorn flavoring to ice cream to pizza. Enough said.
Since I’ve been trying to cut dairy out of my diet, I was pretty excited to try Sari Foods’ Nutritional Yeast. This stuff tastes amazing (like cheese) and is loaded with protein, fiber, all 18 amino acids and 15 different minerals as well as a natural vitamin B-complex. You can add nutritional yeast to vegetables, tacos, pasta, popcorn, soup, baked potatoes, dips, and salads.
I was impressed with the amount of product, as well as the high quality of this superfood bundle. I’ve added and subbed it into my favorite recipes and have begun trying out new recipes from the ebook.
What is your favorite superfood?
