I’ve always been one of those people who can stare at maps for hours, with one city reminding me of another city that I’m curious about. I end up in one of those Wikipedia rampages (except with Google maps) where you search for one thing, which links you to the next and the next. Living in a place as beautiful as San Diego, the veins of the city can entertain me forever. The different neighborhoods and landmarks are laid out in such an interesting way that a map of San Diego really is a work of art.
When Jennifer from Modern Map Art contacted me about a San Diego map art print, I was intrigued. Jennifer has traveled all over the world and her artwork is like her interpretation of the culture she experienced in each city she’s visited.
The Modern Map Art website is really fun to order from! You can create a custom map by selecting the following specs:
- Product (poster, pillow, phone case or t-shirt)
- Option to add text with choice of text color and background color
As you make your selections, the preview updates so you can see the final product.
I thought the pricing was really reasonable for the quality of the print. The colors are vibrant and the paper quality is really nice. Plus, free shipping! The print was packaged carefully and made it to my door without any kinks or scratches in the paper.
Here it is framed, in my apartment:
The print has also been a great conversation piece for visitors! For someone who has never been to San Diego before, I like to use this map to point out the best places to go. Whenever we move to a different city (Myles and I have been here for about 9 years), you best bet this print will be on display as a fun reminder of our time in San Diego.
I received this product complimentary. As always, all thoughts are my own.
